Our Safe in Your Home Commitment

Here at Woolfoot Heating, our priority still remains the safety of both our customers and staff. So that’s why we have put new processes in place with our COVID 19 update, as part of the Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer ‘Safe in Your Home’ Commitment.

This ensures that all of our work can be carried out by our heating engineers in Yorkshire and beyond whilst following best practice safety measures, during this unprecedented time.

Before visiting your home

Before we even step foot in your home, we can look into completing a diagnosis remotely. Our services include boiler maintenance, boiler installations and boiler repairs in Leeds and surrounding areas. By speaking over the phone, or via a video call we can discuss your queries and see if we can resolve the issue first, before visiting your home. If we do need to visit, we can look into conducting a virtual survey and provide a quote before, to reduce the amount of time our heating engineers spend in your home.

Checking the status of your home

If we decide from the call that a visit is necessary to resolve your boiler repair, maintenance or installation, we will need to check the status of your household to keep both yourselves and our staff safe. If anybody has symptoms or is self-isolating at your home, then we will only carry out the work if the issue is serving a direct risk to the safety of the household. We will also need to know from you whether there are any ‘vulnerable’ people inside, as well as information on a clear pathway for our team to access your home.

Arriving at your home

Upon arriving at your home, we will have travelled safely and followed government guidelines. In order to carry out the work, we will kindly ask that members of the household stay in a different room to where we are working. For the safety of our customers and staff we will; maintain a 2m distance at all times; wear disposable gloves; avoid unnecessary contact with surfaces around the home and wear a face covering if required.

Working in a Team

If the work at your home requires more than one person then we will maintain a safe 2 distance when possible and if it cannot be maintained we will wear a suitable face covering. We will need to ensure that our working area is ventilated as much as possible with windows and doors open to keep both customers and our team ‘Safe in Your Home’.

Cleaning Up

Once we have completed the work and our job is done, we will always wipe down all surfaces and our equipment with antibacterial wipes/surface cleaner to reduce the risk of any spread. Our PPE will be placed into plastic bags to ensure safe disposal at the property before we leave and we will of course thoroughly wash our hands ready for the next job.

Here at Woolfoot Heating our Worcester Bosch heating engineers are continuing to work safely and to government standards, so that we can protect our customers and staff from COVID 19 as much as we can. So get in touch with us here or give our team a call today on 0330 1138555 to find out how we can help you and your home.
